So we treat it that way. What follows are not promises — it is how the app actually works.
Only people whose request you accepted can see you. There is no one-way tracking — they are visible to you too.
Both sides confirmLocation history is never kept longer than 60 days. Anything older is deleted automatically and completely.

Restorable within 30 daysBackground location. So your family can see you on the map even when the app is closed, Birga refreshes your location in the background. That is why the “Always Allow” permission is needed. Continued use of location in the background will decrease battery life. You can revoke the permission at any time in your phone's settings.

Yes. Every feature in Birga is currently completely free — no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.
Only people whose friend request you have accepted. Simply creating an account does not expose your location to anyone — every connection requires confirmation from both sides.

With “While Using the App”, your location stops updating the moment you close Birga, and your family is left looking at a stale position. At that point the app has no purpose.
“Always Allow” lets the app refresh your location in the background. You can revoke the permission at any time in your phone's settings.
Any app that uses location in the background increases battery use — we are not going to pretend otherwise. Birga slows its updates down and sends almost nothing while you are stationary.
Yes — that is exactly what Birga is built for. For anyone under 18, creating an account and sharing location requires the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Your child sees who can view them, exactly as you do. There is no hidden monitoring mode.
In the app: Profile → Delete account. Personal data such as location and messages is closed off immediately, and the account is erased completely after 30 days. If you change your mind within that window, write to support@birga-app.uz.
